Phobia 2 is dissected into 5 shorts stories; Novice, Ward, Backpackers, Salvage, and In The End
Phobia 2 starts with a short called Novice in which we see a teenager being dropped off at a monastery by his mother. All we know is that sheÂ’s (apparently!) doing this for his own good. I donÂ’t want to spoil the story but this is definitely one scary short! The special effects are pretty good and thereÂ’s no happy ending here, I can tell you that much!
Next up is Ward, which is set in a hospital. A teenager is in a private room, but with another patientÂ… one who is brain dead and on a life support machine. The kid gets a bit too nosy as to who heÂ’s sharing the room with andÂ… well, again I shant spoil it. While it was an OK story, this one was, to me, the weakest of the bunch.
Third story is Backpackers. Two teenagers are hitch hiking and get more than they bargained for when they find out what’s in the back of the truck that they’ve been riding in. This one has several good scares, good make up and it’s only let down was a bit of a weak ending. Still a good ‘un though.
Salvage comes fourth. This is about a woman car dealer whoÂ’s up to some shady business. While working late her son goes missing in the dealership and he is desperate to find him. This one started off a bit slow, but itÂ’s got some great scares, great effects and a really good twist ending. Definitely the best of the bunch.

Last, but not least, is In The End which is about a movie shoot this is basically a rip-off of The Ring. Their ‘ghost’ actress is in white face paint with long black hair and has to crawl out of the darkness. This one started off really slow, and I was about to skip it when things picked up and from the middle onwards it’s really funny. It just keeps twisting and turning until the unfortunate cheap ending. This one is more humour than horror. Give it a chance, you’ll love it.
